About Ergaris

We exist because healthy
organisations change lives.

Ergaris was built differently. We bring together HR experts, legal experts, organisational psychologists and transformation experts within one integrated ecosystem.

Our founding philosophy
“Healthy people build healthy organisations.
Healthy organisations build a better world.”
—  Andy Skulimowski, Founder of Ergaris

We believe organisational health begins from the bottom up. Policies matter. Structures matter. Governance matters. But organisations are ultimately lived through people — through the quality of leadership, the safety to speak, the opportunity to develop, and the dignity with which people are treated.

LinkedIn Profile

Andy Skulimowski is an HR technology entrepreneur and international people strategist with more than 20 years of experience spanning HR leadership, workforce transformation, organisational change and complex cross-border people challenges.

His academic background brings together three complementary fields of postgraduate study: International Relations, International Human Resource Management and Employment Law — a combination that has shaped a distinctive interdisciplinary perspective.

Andy’s work sits at the intersection of geopolitical reality, legal precision, people strategy and emerging technology. He approaches organisational challenges not as isolated HR, legal or operational issues, but as interconnected systems shaped by political environments, regulatory frameworks, cultural dynamics and human behaviour.

“Healthy people build healthy organisations. Healthy organisations build a better world.”
Our mission

To build healthy organisations —
one business at a time.

We believe organisational health is not a soft aspiration. It is a strategic capability. Healthy organisations are better able to build trust, manage risk, retain talent, navigate change, learn from failure and operate coherently across borders.

They combine legal integrity with human judgement. They align what they say with what they do. They create conditions in which people can contribute, challenge, develop and perform — and they recognise that sustainable performance cannot be separated from the health of the human system that produces it.

Our intellectual foundation

Rooted in the science of organisational culture

Our approach is informed by the work of Edgar H. Schein, whose model of organisational culture helps explain why meaningful change cannot be achieved at the surface alone.

Layer 1 — Visible
Artefacts & behaviours

Contracts, policies, handbooks, structures and observable behaviours. Our HR and legal professionals help make these foundations legally sound, operationally effective and culturally coherent.

Layer 2 — Conscious
Espoused beliefs & values

What an organisation says it stands for. We examine the relationship between stated values and lived experience — reducing the gap between promise and practice.

Layer 3 — Deep
Underlying assumptions

The unspoken beliefs that shape trust, authority, conflict and belonging. Through organisational psychology and cultural diagnosis, we help organisations understand the deeper forces at work.

Most organisations manage what they can see. Lasting change requires understanding what lies beneath it.

Our story

From Global Healthy HR to Ergaris

Our story began in 2019, when the organisation was established as Global Healthy HR. The founding conviction was clear: healthier people build healthier organisations, and healthier organisations contribute to a better world.

From the outset, the ambition extended beyond conventional HR support. The most difficult organisational challenges rarely belonged to a single professional discipline — and we were built to address that.

As our work and thinking evolved, so did the organisation. By 2026, the name Global Healthy HR no longer fully reflected what we had become — or the scale of what we were building.

In 2026, we became Ergaris.
The name changed. The founding conviction did not.

Our values

The six conditions we build towards

01
Psychological safety

People should be able to speak up, challenge and contribute without fear. Psychological safety means people can raise concerns and challenge assumptions without fear of humiliation or retaliation.

02
Legal integrity

Compliance is the floor, not the ceiling. Organisational health cannot be built on legal uncertainty, procedural unfairness or avoidable risk. Strong organisations integrate legal integrity into how they lead and operate.

03
Cultural congruence

What an organisation says should align with what it does. We work towards coherence between stated values, formal policies, management practice and lived experience.

04
Continuous learning

Healthy organisations learn. They examine assumptions, develop people and respond intelligently to change — treating mistakes as sources of insight without abandoning accountability.

05
Cross-border coherence

International growth requires more than local legal compliance. Organisations must preserve strategic and cultural coherence while respecting local law, institutions and human realities.

06
Mutual obligation

The strongest organisations are built on more than contractual minimums. Trust, fairness, development and respect create the conditions for stronger relationships and more sustainable performance.

Our global reach

One culture. Many jurisdictions.

Ergaris is built around the principle that organisations should be able to grow internationally without losing their identity, fragmenting their culture or creating avoidable legal and human risk.

Our Services

Everything your organisation needs.
Under one roof.

International HR experts, Solicitors, barristers, organisational psychologists and international relations experts - working together so you never have to choose between legal rigour, people expertise, and cultural intelligence. We operate across three service clusters and a comprehensive training programme.

Outsourced HR

Your HR director.
Without the overhead.

Many organisations need the expertise of a seasoned HR Director but not necessarily full-time. Our outsourced HR service gives you access to internationally qualified senior HR professionals - on a retained, project, or interim basis - who operate as an embedded part of your leadership team.

They bring the full Ergaris HR ecosystem with them. When a matter has legal implications, our solicitors are one step away. When culture is the issue, our organisational psychologists are already in the picture. When geopolitics or regulatory volatility affects your people strategy, our international relations experts help you navigate complex political environments so you can expand with confidence. You get integrated people expertise, not a lone consultant working in isolation.

Retained HR Director service
A senior HR professional on a monthly retainer - attending leadership meetings, advising on people strategy, and available when issues arise.
Project-based HR support
Specific projects - restructures, TUPE transfers, policy reviews, culture audits, leadership development programmes.
Interim HR leadership
Cover for HR Director absence or vacancy - experienced, credible leadership from day one.
Employee relations advisory
Day-to-day ER advice, disciplinary and grievance support, absence management, and performance management guidance.
Organisational Psychology

Culture isn't what you say it is.
It's what people experience.

Grounded in Edgar Schein's three-layer cultural model and Amy Edmondson's psychological safety framework, our organisational psychology practice helps you understand what your culture actually is - not what your values poster says - and build something that serves your people and your performance.

Culture diagnostic

A deep read across all three of Schein's layers - artefacts, espoused values, and the underlying assumptions that really drive behaviour. Honest, evidence-based, actionable.

Schein, 1985 · three-layer assessment

Psychological safety

Assessment and development of the single strongest predictor of team performance, innovation, and retention - measured, then built into how teams actually operate.

Edmondson, 1999 · measured & built

Culture change programmes

Structured, evidence-based transformation designed to last - not a workshop series. A genuine change process with defined stages and measurable outcomes.

Staged process · measurable outcomes

Leadership coaching

Executive coaching grounded in behavioural science - building the self-awareness, psychological agility, and cultural intelligence sustained performance requires.

Behavioural science · executive & team

Organisational wellbeing

A whole-organisation wellbeing strategy that goes well beyond EAP tick-boxes - building genuine, sustainable wellbeing into how you operate every day.

Systemic · beyond the EAP

Post-restructure recovery

After a redundancy programme, trust and morale don't repair themselves. We deliver structured recovery - engaging the team that remains and re-aligning culture.

Survivor syndrome · structured recovery
Partner Services

Employer of Record & Payroll Solutions

We partner with leading Employer of Record and payroll providers so you can expand internationally without the complexity of establishing legal entities in every market. We make the introduction, advise on structure, and remain involved to ensure the employment law and HR dimensions are handled correctly alongside the payroll and compliance mechanics.

Employer of Record (EOR)
Employ people in new markets without setting up an entity. Our EOR partners handle employment contracts, payroll, tax, and benefits in-country. We advise on which EOR is right for your jurisdiction and ensure the employment law is structured correctly.
International Payroll Solutions
We partner with leading international payroll providers for multi-country payroll management. We sit alongside the payroll process as your employment law and HR advisors - ensuring compliance, consistency, and a single point of coordination.
Advisory & Transformation

Strategy that goes beyond the advice note.

Our advisory practice works with leadership teams on the big, complex challenges - organisational transformation, AI adoption, international expansion, and the strategic architecture of people and legal infrastructure. This is consulting, not legal advice. It is broader, more strategic, and more integrated across disciplines.

AI & Technology

AI & Organisational Transformation

AI is reshaping employment, not replacing it - but only organisations that adapt their structures, cultures, and legal frameworks will benefit rather than be disrupted. We advise on the strategic and operational dimensions of AI adoption: workforce redesign, AI use policies, employment law implications, and the cultural change required to make transformation stick.

  • AI readiness assessment for HR and legal functions
  • Workforce redesign in the age of automation
  • AI employment law compliance and risk management
  • AI use policies and governance frameworks
  • Change management for AI-driven transformation
International Growth

Cross-Border HR & Legal Infrastructure

Expanding internationally without the right HR and legal infrastructure in place is one of the most common and costly mistakes growing businesses make. We design the architecture - entity structure, employment contracts, HR policies, compliance frameworks, and cultural integration strategies - before the first hire is made in a new market.

  • International expansion HR strategy
  • Market entry employment law audit
  • Global employment framework design
  • Cultural integration advisory
  • M&A HR and employment law due diligence
Training Programmes

Training that changes behaviour.
Not just ticks a box.

Our training programmes are designed and delivered by the same practitioners who advise clients - solicitors, HR directors, and psychologists. That means the employment law content is accurate, the HR guidance is practical, and the cultural and psychological dimensions are genuinely understood. All programmes are available in-person, online, and as blended learning. All can be customised for your organisation, sector, and jurisdiction.

Ergaris HR Academy · ergaris.academy

Ergaris Academy is where comparative employment law, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality converge.

Today's debate is about restricting technology in schools. For adult professional education, we believe the opposite. Adults learn differently - they bring experience, context, and clear objectives - so technology, applied intelligently, becomes a learning accelerator, not a distraction.

Comparative Employment Law Neuroscience Artificial Intelligence Virtual Reality
Ergaris Academy
Our philosophy

We're pioneering a new approach to comparative employment law education - combining AI, neuroscience, and immersive technology with decades of employment law and HR expertise. The ambition isn't to digitise traditional teaching, but to redefine how professionals acquire, retain, and apply complex knowledge.

Working with our research and technology partners, we've built a methodology that adapts to how people actually learn. Instead of passive repetition, it accounts for each learner's cognitive preferences, triggers, motivation, pace, and environment - making learning more engaging, more personalised, and more effective.

The future of professional education isn't about replacing human expertise with technology - it's about amplifying human capability, helping professionals learn faster, retain more, and perform with greater confidence.
Learning, reimagined

Where AI, neuroscience and immersive technology meet employment law

A glimpse of the Ergaris Academy experience - immersive, adaptive, and built around how professionals actually learn.

The challenge

Traditional training fails
the complexity of global HR

Employment law is complex. Add multi-jurisdictional requirements - US, UK, EU, China, Netherlands, Germany, France - and conventional legal training simply cannot keep pace. Conventional training achieves just 30–40% knowledge retention within six months. For international companies, this gap creates costly compliance risks and operational inefficiency.

Our solution

Curriculum designed for
how the brain actually learns

Our in-house research team designed curriculum around neuroscience principles. Spaced repetition, immersive VR scenarios, emotional narratives, active retrieval practice, and metacognitive awareness create neural pathways that stick.

Our proprietary AI adapts in real time to each learner's unique profile, monitoring concept mastery, optimal review timing, learning preferences, and readiness for progression. Every learner gets a tailored experience with real-time feedback, Socratic questioning, and adaptive assessment that measures true competence, not memorisation.

Grounded in 20+ years of hands-on consultancy work across multiple jurisdictions, informed by 250+ expert focus groups and 50+ legal professionals. Real-world case studies. BSL/ASL accessibility support.

The methodology

Six neuroscience pillars

Spaced repetition
Strategically timed review cycles that encode knowledge into long-term memory - dramatically improving 6-month retention benchmarks.
Immersive VR scenarios
Real employment law dilemmas experienced in virtual reality - creating the emotional engagement that accelerates learning and anchors memory.
Active retrieval practice
Socratic questioning and adaptive assessment that measures true competence - not memorisation. Tests that teach, not just evaluate.
Proprietary AI adaptation
Our AI monitors concept mastery, optimal review timing, learning preferences, and readiness for progression - adapting in real time to each learner's unique profile.
Metacognitive awareness
Learners develop conscious awareness of their own knowledge gaps - the foundation of genuine professional competence across complex legal frameworks.
Emotional narrative learning
Real-world case studies from 71 countries translated into emotionally resonant narratives that make comparative law tangible and memorable.

About us

We exist because healthy
organisations change lives.

We started with a conviction: that the gap between employment law compliance and genuine organisational health was costing businesses - and their people - an enormous, unmeasured price. We built an ecosystem to close that gap.

Our mission

To build healthy organisations - one business at a time.

Edgar Schein spent a career proving that culture is not what organisations say it is - it is what they do, what they assume, what they reward and punish invisibly. We built Ergaris HR to be the firm that works at all three levels of that model, not just the surface.

We brought together solicitors, barristers, HR directors, and organisational psychologists - not as separate service lines, but as one integrated team with one integrated philosophy. Then we added an Academy to scale the knowledge, a Review to share the intelligence, and a Consortium to build the community.

The ecosystem is the mission. And the mission is: healthy people, healthy organisations, better world.

"Healthy people build healthy organisations. Healthy organisations build a better world."

Ergaris HR - our founding philosophy
Our values

The six conditions we build towards

01
Psychological safety
People speak up, challenge, and innovate without fear. Based on Edmondson & Schein's research, this is the single most powerful predictor of team effectiveness.
02
Legal integrity
Compliance is the floor, not the ceiling. But the floor must be solid. Our legal team ensures it is - in every jurisdiction.
03
Cultural congruence
Values, policies, and behaviours aligned. No gap between what you say and what you do.
04
Continuous learning
Organisations that learn adapt and survive. Those that don't become liabilities. The Academy exists precisely for this reason.
05
Cross-border coherence
One culture, many jurisdictions. Maintaining organisational identity without legal or ethical fractures as you expand globally.
06
Mutual obligation
Employers and employees invest in each other - beyond contract minimums. The foundation of retention, loyalty, and performance.

Head of Employment Law - UK
London, UK
Full-time · Partner-level appointment
Senior solicitor · 10+ yrs PQE
Highly competitive salary + equity

The Head of Employment Law will lead Ergaris HR's solicitor-side employment law practice in the UK - overseeing all contentious and non-contentious employment law work, leading a team of associate solicitors, and sitting at the intersection of our legal, HR, and psychology disciplines. This is a partner-level, founding appointment in a growing multidisciplinary firm with an international client base. You will shape the employment law practice from the ground up and have genuine equity and leadership opportunity as the firm grows.

The role
  • Lead and develop the Ergaris HR UK employment law solicitor practice - both contentious and non-contentious
  • Advise clients on the full range of employment law matters: contracts, handbooks, TUPE, redundancy, dismissals, settlement agreements, discrimination claims, and senior executive disputes
  • Lead employment tribunal strategy and case management; instruct and work alongside Ergaris Chambers barristers
  • Build, manage, and mentor a team of associate solicitors and legal clerks across UK offices
  • Work closely with Ergaris HR's CIPD HR Directors and organisational psychologists on integrated, multidisciplinary client mandates
  • Advise international clients - US companies entering the UK, Gulf businesses establishing European operations, and multinationals with UK workforces
  • Develop client relationships, lead pitches, and contribute to the firm's business development
  • Ensure full compliance with SRA regulations, AML obligations, and file management standards
  • Contribute to Ergaris HR's thought leadership - Review articles, Academy content, and Consortium roundtables
  • Play a key role in the firm's governance and strategic development as a member of the senior leadership team
What we are looking for
  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 10 years PQE, with substantial experience in a dedicated employment law practice
  • Track record of leading complex employment tribunal proceedings and advising senior clients independently
  • Broad employment law expertise: contentious (tribunal claims, appeals) and non-contentious (contracts, restructures, TUPE, senior exits)
  • Experience advising international or cross-border clients strongly preferred - US, EU, or Gulf-headquartered organisations entering the UK

Employment Tribunal Judge / Former Judge - Freelance Consultant
UK (remote / flexible)
Freelance / consultancy
Current or former Employment Judge
Highly competitive consultancy rate

We are looking for current or former Employment Tribunal Judges to join Ergaris HR as senior freelance consultants. Your judicial experience and deep understanding of how the Employment Tribunal approaches cases, evaluates evidence, and reaches decisions is extraordinarily valuable - both in advising clients on litigation strategy and in training HR and legal professionals through our Academy and Review programmes. This is a flexible, high-value consultancy arrangement designed to work around any judicial sittings or retirement commitments.

How you would contribute
  • Provide expert litigation strategy advice to Ergaris HR clients facing Employment Tribunal claims - drawing on your judicial perspective to assess case strength, settlement value, and hearing risk
  • Advise solicitors and barristers within the Ergaris HR team on case preparation, witness evidence, and submission quality from a judicial standpoint
  • Deliver expert masterclass content for the Ergaris Academy - teaching HR professionals and employment lawyers how the Tribunal thinks, what impresses, and what destroys credibility
  • Contribute expert analysis and commentary to the Ergaris Review on Employment Tribunal procedure, landmark decisions, and the evolving employment law landscape
  • Act as expert witness or expert advisor on high-stakes cases where a judicial perspective adds material value
  • Participate in Ergaris HR Consortium roundtables and the Annual Healthy Organisation Summit as a keynote voice on employment justice
  • Advise on internal investigation processes, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling from the standpoint of how they will be scrutinised by a Tribunal
Who we are looking for
  • Current Employment Tribunal Judge (salaried or fee-paid) - subject to judicial conduct and moonlighting permissions; or
  • Former Employment Tribunal Judge with recent judicial experience (within the last 10 years preferred)
  • Former legal chairs or wing members with substantial tribunal hearing experience also considered
  • Deep knowledge of Employment Tribunal procedure, the Employment Rights Act, Equality Act, and unfair dismissal jurisprudence
  • Ability to translate judicial thinking into practical, actionable advice for clients, HR professionals, and legal practitioners
  • Excellent written communication - able to produce Review articles, Academy content, and expert reports to the highest standard
  • Collegiate approach and genuine interest in the Ergaris HR mission of building healthier organisations
What we offer
  • Highly competitive consultancy day rate - reflecting the premium value of judicial experience and expertise
  • Fully flexible arrangement - you choose when and how much you work, structured around your existing commitments
  • Prestigious association with a growing global HR and employment law ecosystem
  • Meaningful contribution to the Academy and Review - your expertise shapes how thousands of HR professionals and lawyers approach employment tribunal work
  • Ergaris Consortium founding membership and Annual Summit keynote opportunities
  • A genuinely unique role that extends the value of a judicial career beyond the bench
Note on judicial permissions
Current fee-paid and salaried judges should satisfy themselves that any consultancy arrangement complies with the Guide to Judicial Conduct and their specific judicial office conditions. We are happy to discuss the nature of the proposed arrangement to support this assessment prior to any formal expression of interest.
